Located in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Santa Monica, the design challenge was to re-organize the interior walls to create a master bedroom suite, an open plan kitchen and completely redesign all the landscape areas to create additional outdoor social gathering spaces.
An entry patio with a new stairway takes visitors on a journey through a garden to the front door. In the rear yard, the existing lawn area is expanded for playing ball, adding a curvilinear patio for a built-in fire bowl as well as a lighted patio space for outdoor dining.
